About Coach

A Cleveland native, Rae attended Bowling Green State University studying psychology, sociology, and philosophy. Having never played sports growing up – she was a flutist in the marching band though! – she was intrigued by her “psychology of sports and exercise” course, and went on to become a NASM Personal Trainer, then earned her Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology.

Turning Point

Married to her high school sweetheart who is Active Duty military, she took up running during her husband’s deployment while their son was a year old. When they got stationed in Cincinnati, she ran the Columbus Marathon, then walked into CrossFit Cincinnati saying, “I’m only going to try this out for a month.” That was in 2014. One year later, she was a CF-Level 1 Trainer. She currently holds a CF-Level 2, along with Burgener Strength Weightlifting Level-1, Adaptive Training Academy Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer, as well as CF Masters, Kids, Scaling, Lesson Planning, and Spot the Flaw certs.

Motivation & Passion

She has lived in Colorado, Kansas, and Germany, has participated in the Hyrox World Championship of Fitness Bodyweight division, qualified for the Spartan Trifecta World Championships, and is excited to be back in Cincy sharing her passion for health and fitness in the place where her own journey began!
